THE VOICE OF DUBBO BUSINESS
The Dubbo Chamber of Commerce Inc. is a not for profit organisation working to represent the interests of business and to provide opportunities for business within the community, our goal being to build and maintain a vibrant and healthy local economy. Background Information on the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. The Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (Dubbo Chamber) is one of the oldest and largest Chambers in Regional NSW. Through State Chamber of Commerce we are members of Australian Business Limited. The two organisations merged in February 2006. Our affiliation provides the us with access to information, products and services which are beneficial to local Chamber members, these include but are not limited to;
- OH&S and Industrial Relations business development tools
- consultation
- regulatory and legislative information
- the opportunity to contribute to the process of policy development at all levels of government.
Dubbo Chamber has no political affiliations. We are a self-funded, voluntary partnership made up of business and professional people working together to build a vibrant local economy for those who live and work in Dubbo and the surrounding centres.
WHO CAN BE A MEMBER OF DUBBO CHAMBER?
Dubbo Chamber welcomes all individuals and businesses that have an interest in the local business community. Chamber draws its membership from businesses large and small from all industry sectors across the region. Under the Association Rules application for membership is open to those who accept the objects and rules of the association and consideration by the Board. Current membership ranges from large manufacturing business, home based business and individuals. The membership year runs from January to December, with subscription renewed at the beginning of the calendar year.
WHO LEADS THE DUBBO CHAMBER?
Our members run the Dubbo Chamber, each year they elect a Board to manage the association, set goals and determine policies. The Board in turn elects an executive of office bearers. Nominations for the Board close on 20th November each year. The Board meet on the third Tuesday of each month. Members are all welcome to attend these meetings.
