In 1985 Sandy moved to Dubbo as the National Sales Manager for Versatile Farm Equipment. He joined National Mutual (now AXA) in 1988 progressing to owning his own business and joining Fortnum Financial Advisers in June 2010. Over the past 25 years, Sandy has been involved in Dubbo Kart Club, Dubbo Turf Club, Dubbo Golf Club and past President of Dubbo South Rotary Club. |

John Cook has worked in Dubbo since 1978 owning TLC Slashing (1987-2002) and now Investment and Planning Professionals (IPP) since 1996. He has been a member of the Dubbo Rotary Club and served on the Dubbo Macquarie Rotary Club as Youth and Community Service Director, also being a past member of Apex.

Greg holds a certificate in Business Management and has lived in Dubbo for nine years. He was the manager of Aged Care Facilities for five years before he joined JR Richards & Sons as Branch Manager in Dubbo. He has extensive knowledge of the waste and recycling industries.

Bob has been involved within the finance industry for more than 25 years and has recently moved into his own business to offer a more specialised and personalised service to businesses or individuals. Bob to Dubbo over 7 years ago and despite residing and working in a number of cities within QLD and NSW, has called Dubbo home. Bob joined the Chamber to promote and build Dubbo as a team and offers a contribution of having a broad understanding of issues across a number of businesses.

Dan Buckler (Membership Committee)

Dan is a Dubbo local, who has held a number of senior management positions in a diverse range of businesses, all in Dubbo. Dan is the Territory Manager for Viatek Central West NSW, a role which allows him to have contact with both big and small businesses in Dubbo. Dan got involved with the Chamber as a sponsor in 2011 and is keen to support the role of the Chamber as a voice for business in Dubbo.

Stan Donnelly (Lobby Committee)
Company: Donnelly Mining & Civil Contracting Pty Ltd
Stan Donnelly had a farming and agricultural background in Ireland before migrating to Australia in 1974. He worked as an underground miner in WA and Tasmania, obtained a degree in Mineral Engineering in 1977, worked in mines in Thailand and Ireland, returned to work in mines at Cobar NSW. With a young family, he moved to Dubbo in 1991 to avail of better facilities including education, medical and recreational. After four years in the drilling industry, he worked as a Project Manager in mines in QLD, NT, NSW and NZ.
From 2000 he has managed a Civil Construction Contracting business in Dubbo [Donnelly Mining & Civil]. The business has achieved it’s objectives of providing high quality in all aspects of it’s work, delivering absolute value for money to it’s clients and obtaining ISO Certification for Quality, Safety and Environmental Management.
As a resident and business owner in Dubbo, Stan believes strongly that the revenue and business activity generated from infrastructure projects in regional NSW should be retained in the regional areas; this is too often not the case.

Lee Bennett

Lee is a new resident to Dubbo having relocated with his family to Dubbo in 2011, seizing on an opportunity to set up business in a growing area. Owning and managing the Quest serviced apartments in Dubbo, Lee has been in the accommodation industry for over 10 years, working in properties in Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra as well as still owning the Quest in Maitland NSW. Lee is also a graduate from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Management.

Megan Dixon
Company: Seed Business Solutions
After more than 12 years in local government in 2011 Megan established a consultancy business that specialises in Business Development and Management Solutions. Megan has led the establishment of several economic development programs and has been responsible for the preparation of a number of economic development strategies, associated feasibility studies and management of major projects. Megan has worked in all levels of government, as well as the not for profit sector. Having developed and implemented several economic and business development strategies, Megan was one of the guiding partners in the implementation of the Evocities program, when she worked with Dubbo City Council.
Megan is passionate about economic development and business development and believes that a strong and vibrant Chamber is an essential part of the fabric of a successful business community.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UNE; an EMBA from UTS and is also a National Board Director and Treasurer of Economic Development Australia.

Executive Officer Toni Beatty
The EO's responsibilities include reporting to the Chamber Board; managing the operations of the Chamber; membership needs and requirements; increasing and maintaining membership; facilitating events and network initiatives.
Toni joined the Dubbo Chamber as Executive Officer in April 2012. Toni is a Dubbo local who has been involved in her family business for the last 15 years. She has extensive experience in office administration and customer service. Being a local, Toni has a great affinity with Dubbo and its business community and is looking forward to working with the Chamber to help it grow its business. |
