Women In Business
The Dubbo Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of their Women in Business Networking Lunch program. It consists of a series of informative lunches to be held in Dubbo. These events aim to create a relaxed but dynamic environment in which women can learn from the experiences of other businesswomen, brainstorm ideas, and discuss issues relevant to them - over lunch.
One of the key issues faced by business owners today is how to grow their business when they are so busy running it. Many women with families find that they have little time left over to investigate answers to key issues they face within their business. Seemingly diverse businesses face similar issues: a juice retailer has seasonal fluctuations as does a bed and breakfast business. So how to manage this from a cash flow perspective is relevant to both businesses. This is where networking comes in.
Being able to tap into a readily available resource - other local businesswomen - is a logical and incredibly supportive way for women in business to grow personally and professionally.
Networking is something that comes easily to women, however women are not the most effective at utilising it. This program is designed to help women push through their comfort zone, meet new people, share what they do (effectively) and learn from others.
Each lunch features a keynote speaker or panel of women, who share excerpts of their professional and personal journey to the point they are at now. Speakers will share business tips and techniques they have found successful (and some not so successful!); their sources of guidance and support, and details of challenges they have overcome.
Each Women In Business Networking Lunch will be held on the last Thursday of every month. Lunch starts promptly at 12pm. The Dubbo Chamber of Commerce invites all women participating in business in an ownership or management capacity to join them.
