The Rhinos

The Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc presents the "Rhino Outstanding Business Awards" each year to honour the city's most outstanding businesses. The Rhino, which is used as the logo reflects both the fact that Dubbo is home to the Targona Western Plains Zoo, and symbolises the strength of our local business community. The presentation night is one of the city's most prestigious annual events, a time when the city's business community honours its most outstanding performers in a number of categories.

This year our outstanding business awards present 16 Categorises:

The Gold Rhino - Awarded to Dubbo's most Outstanding Business.

Product and/or Service - To a business that delivers an exceptionally high quality product and/or service, proudly sponsored by Rhino Promotions.
Presentation and Marketing - To a business that demonstrates a focus on sound marketing principles and development of a strong business image, proudly sponsored by Dubbo City Council.
People Development - To a business that is committed to bringing out the full potential of its employees and involving them in the development of the business, proudly sponsored by Western College.
Customer Focus - To a business that recognises and demonstrates that their customers are at the heart of their business, proudly sponsored by Commonwealth Bank Regional.
Business Development - To a business that demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and adapts to meet the economic climate, proudly sponsored by Viatek Central West NSW
Community Service - Awarded to a business, not-for-profit or community service organisation that demonstrates an outstanding contribution to the community, proudly sponsored by Joblink Plus.
Environmental Sustainability - Green Rhino - To a business that demonstrates environmental responsibility and sustainability, proudly sponsored by Essential Energy.
Operational Safety – Awarded to a business that demonstrates outstanding Excellence in Operational Safety, proudly sponsored by BlueScope Steel.
Hospitality – Awarded to a restaurant, cafe, function centre, pub, licensed club or caterer that demonstrates excellence in hospitality, proudly sponsored by Midwest Foods.
Rural Achievement - Recognising the contribution of a business or individual to innovation in agriculture or natural resource management and a commitment to the future sustainability of their industry, proudly sponsored by Central West Catchment Management Authority.
