Join the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce for our first Women in Business event in over 18 months!

We are really excited to be able to bring this event back.
Our first Women in Business will be on Wednesday 28th April at The Establishment Bar Dubbo catering by Cakes By Amy Rutherford from 6pm for cocktails & desserts.
 
Enjoy a cocktail on arrival and listen to three amazing local business Women. 

 

  • Kate Griffiths - Lazy Sunday Lifestyle

Kate Griffiths is the Founder and Creative Director of Lazy Sunday Lifestyle, a lifestyle boutique and clothing label.

The store is located here in Dubbo's CBD and opened in 2017 stocking a range of giftwares, homewares and clothing. The growth and success of the business in the past few years has led to Kate expanding by launching her own clothing label under the same name late last year. The label is a true labour of love by the designer. She wanted to create a line of size inclusive everyday clothing that made women feel amazing as soon as they put it on.

Kate has a Bachelor of Design specialising in Creative Direction & Styling from prestigious design school Whitehouse Institute of Design. After completing her degree she went on to work in various design roles in Sydney before moving back to the Central West.

Kate is passionate about promoting and celebrating regional & rural women in business, particularly in the creative industries


  • Sallyanne Morrison - Morrison's Family Eye Care Centre
Sallyanne is a very proud Dubbonite. She was born here and attended Dubbo South Primary School; whereas school captain in the early 80s she helped open a dental clinic on the
school grounds thus awakening her sense to the need for allied health professionals in rural NSW.
Upon graduation Sallyanne worked for two years in a specialist paediatric Optometric practice in Perth. But Dubbo beckoned and in 1992, Sallyanne returned to her hometown to setup Morrison’s Family Eyecare Centre.
Today her practice has grown and employs 4 full time Optometrists and has an ancillary staff of 10.
She is proud that when new Optometrist arrive to work at Morrison’s Family Eyecare Centre; they find themselves with the most up-to-date, state of the art equipment, which is superior to most city practices. Finally she is helping country people have eyecare that is just as good, if not better than
that provided in metropolitan areas. Her practice also supports the local community with sponsorship of various associations.
On the home front, Sallyanne enjoys her three spirited school aged children that she ferries around to their various sports and extra-curricular activities.

 
  • Sharon Allan - Raine & Horne Dubbo

Sharon has been working in the Real Estate industry, in Sales for the past 20 years helping vendors and purchasers. She is a born and bred Dubbo girl and has watched Dubbo grow from a population of 10,000 people.

With her husband who has been a Director in the business for 40 years, real estate is certainly in her veins.
